Now the Switch version of Life is Strange: True Colors has been delayed too
It was announced this week that the Remastered Collection was delayed on all systems
The Nintendo Switch version of Life is Strange: True Colors has been delayed to later this year.
The game was due to release on September 10 on all formats, but while the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC versions are still planned for that date, the Switch version has slipped.
The official Life is Strange Twitter account confirmed the news by adding to a thread made earlier this week, in which it confirmed that the Life is Strange Remastered Collection had also been delayed on all formats.
“Life is Strange: True Colors for Nintendo Switch is running a little late,” the tweet reads. “We won’t be quite ready to release on September 10, but we still plan to release this year.”
The Remastered Collection was previously scheduled to be released later this year following the arrival of True Colors.
However, developer Deck Nine confirmed earlier this week that it had been delayed to 2022 to “alleviate additional pressure on the Life is Strange team”.
Meanwhile, the Life is Strange: Wavelengths DLC, a bonus episode starring Steph Gingrich that’s included with the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of True Colors, will be released on September 30. A new trailer for this DLC was released yesterday.
True Colors tells the story of Alex Chen, a young woman who moves to the small town of Haven Springs where she ends up investigating the death of her brother, which she believes may not be accidental.
Alex has a power called Empathy, which lets her see people’s emotions as differently coloured glowing auras around them, then absorb and manipulate them.
The Life is Strange Remastered Collection promises to improve the visual detail of characters and environments.
It will also feature “vastly improved” character animation, according to publisher Square Enix, using full facial motion capture performances, as well as upgrades to the game engine and lighting.
