Nacon’s open-world Terminator game is called Terminator: Survivors, comes to PC in October
The game takes place after the second movie
Nacon has revealed more information on its upcoming Terminator survival game, including its official title and release date.
Terminator: Survivors is set to be released on early access on Steam on October 24, and will then be released on consoles at a later date.
The game will be developed by Nacon Studio Milan, which previously worked on Rims Racing and TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3.
It will be an open-world survival game set in the world of the first two movies, and will follow an original story which takes place after the second film.
As seen in the trailer (which can be watched below), in the game Judgment Day has taken place, and Skynet is taking over.
“In this original story taking place after the second film, you take control of a group of survivors of Judgment Day, in solo or co-op mode, faced with a multitude of lethal hazards in this post-apocalyptic world,” Nacon’s description reads.
“Skynet’s machines will hound you relentlessly, while other humans will be eyeing up the same resources as you.”
Nacon first announced the game back in July 2022, saying at the time: “Just a tease for the future, but if you couldn’t tell, we’re big fans of ’80s movies, and our team at Nacon Studio Milan is working on the first survival game set in the Terminator universe.”
Nacon is no stranger to video games based on ’80s action films – last year it published Teyon‘s RoboCop: Rogue City, which VGC called “a hugely entertaining return to simpler times”.
