Monster Hunter Wilds has been announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC
The new game will be released in 2025
Capcom has announced the next major game in the Monster Hunter series.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released in 2025, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
“We were finally able to announce the next game in the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, at the Game Awards 2023 today, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said in a video on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.
“This announcement is just the start, so there’s a lot about the game we can’t go into detail about yet.
“The game features a new level of detailed creatures and ecosystems, so please enjoy dissecting the trailer to get an idea of what to expect.”
Speaking specifically about the series’ connection with PlayStation, Tsujimoto added: “This upcoming March marks 20 years since Monster Hunter first release on PlayStation 2 back in 2004.
“While previous titles were released in Japan first, Monster Hunter World on PS4 was a global simultaneous release.
“Thanks to all of your support, the series has grown into something beloved of players around the world.
“The combination of cutting-edge hardware and the latest Monster Hunter title will be unmissable.”
More information on the game is set to be revealed in Summer 2024.
