Street Fighter 6 is getting a TMNT crossover this week
The collaboration will include outfits, emotes and stamps
Street Fighter 6 will be getting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover content this week.
As revealed in a new trailer by Capcom, the collaboration will start on August 8 and will let players unlock a variety of TMNT content.
This includes new costumes, accessories, emotes, stamps and more.
“Cowabunga,” reads Capcom’s announcement. “Scarf down that slice of pizza and get ready for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Street Fighter 6 collaboration on August 8.
“Get radical with TMNT gear and emotes, new Titles, TMNT stamps, in-game device wallpapers, camera frames in Photo Mode, and turn your World Tour and Battle Hub custom avatar into your favourite turtle.”
The collaboration is designed to tie in with the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the latest TMNT feature film which is currently in cinemas.
The Turtles are no stranger to video game collaborations, and have appeared in more crossovers than most other non-game IP.
Games which have included TMNT content in the past have included Injustice 2, Smite, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, Brawlhalla and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
They’ve also appeared as playable characters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series.
Last year two standalone TMNT games were released for PC and console, both of which were critically acclaimed.
TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection was a retro compilation featuring 13 classic 8-bit and 16-bit Turtles games, while TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge was an entirely new beat ’em up designed to be a spiritual successor to Konami‘s arcade games such as Turtles in Time.
