Capcom’s dinosaur shooter Exoprimal is launching on Game Pass
Plus an open beta test will take place later this month
Capcom has announced that its third-person dinosaur shooter Exoprimal will launch this summer on Xbox Game Pass.
The game will hit PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Steam on July 14, 2023.
The release date was confirmed on Steam, ahead of a Capcom Spotlight digital event on Thursday.
In addition to the release date, the publisher confirmed an open beta test for the game, which will take place on consoles and PC from March 17 until March 19, with cross-platform play.
Announced last year, Exoprimal is billed as “an online, team-based action game that pits humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology against history’s most ferocious beasts”.
Set in the year 2040, Exoprimal sees humanity’s existence threatened by waves of dinosaur outbreaks across the globe.
A corporation called Aibius has developed an advanced AI that can pinpoint the location of upcoming outbreaks, as well as exosuits that assault, tank, and support pilots use to combat the invaders.
Exoprimal’s main game mode, Dino Survival, sees two teams of five players competing to be the first to complete various PvE and PvP missions.
Capcom recently said it expects to sell more games (over 40 million) during its current fiscal year ending on March 31 than in any other in its history.
