Street Fighter V adding Seth, Gill now available
Game’s 40th character will be included in February 2020’s Champion Edition
Capcom has announced the upcoming addition of Seth to the Street Fighter V: Champion Edition roster.
Seth, the ‘King of Chaos’ and a boss character from Street Fighter IV, will become the game’s 40th character when the full version of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition releases on February 14, 2020.
It has also released the title’s December update, introducing Gill, the Sun Chase Moon stage, V-Skill II and a new battle balance, which are detailed on Capcom Unity.
Gill, who can control fire and ice and is included in the Champion Edition roster, can be purchased separately for $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.
Capcom has released a new trailer for SFV Champion Edition (below), which will feature all content from 2016’s Street Fighter V and 2018’s Arcade Edition, including 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes.
It doesn’t include Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC.
Current owners of any version of the game can now upgrade to the Champion Edition for PS4 ($24.99 / £19.99 / €24.99) and Steam (£19.99), while new players will be able to buy it physically and digitally for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 at release.
Tekken series lead Katsuhiro Harada recently questioned whether there’s a place in the market for Tekken X Street Fighter given the continued success of the most recent series entries, Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V.
