Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown story trailer and demo news accidentally posted early
PlayStation Brazil briefly shared the new trailer for the game
A new story trailer for Prince of Perisa: The Lost Crown has been leaked ahead of its reveal at The Game Awards.
The new trailer promoting Ubisoft‘s upcoming 2.5D action platformer was set to appear at the annual awards ceremony later today.
However, the official PlayStation Brazil YouTube account posted the trailer early, allowing some users to download and share it before the video was taken offline.
The trailer also states that a free demo of the game will be released on January 11, a week before the game’s full release.
The Lost Crown will be released on January 18 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
Ubisoft has described the game as “an action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world.”
Its promotional blurb for the game reads: “In this brand-new adventure, players will embody Sargon, a young, gifted warrior, and member of an elite group called The Immortals. As they are sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, they will explore Mount Qaf, a once wondrous place, now cursed and hostile.
“Sargon and his brothers-in-arms will soon discover that time itself will be a treacherous foe and that the world balance must be restored.
“Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown lets players explore a handcrafted world at their own pace. From the majestic Citadel of Knowledge to the colorful landscapes of the Hyrcanian Forest, players will discover a variety of environments inspired by Persian mythology.”
A Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown gameplay trailer was shown at the Ubisoft Forward presentation in June, showing the game in action with accompanying developer commentary.
