Nintendo UK Black Friday deal offers a Switch OLED with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for £57 off
The bundle also includes three months of Switch Online membership
Nintendo UK has announced a new Black Friday deal, which discounts its recently announced Switch OLED and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle.
The bundle contains a Neon Blue and Neon Red Switch OLED model, as well as a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
The bundle was announced by Nintendo of Europe last week, but at the time only its standard retail price of €349 was confirmed.
Now Nintendo UK has listed the bundle as part of its Black Friday sale, and is selling it for £309.99, which it says is a saving of £56.98 compared to buying everything in the bundle separately.
Customers who buy the bundle direct from Nintendo will also get a free Mario Christmas ornament worth £7.99. The ornament comes free with any order of £70 or more.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the Switch’s best-selling game. As of September 2023, it had sold 57.01 million copies, according to Nintendo.
That puts it ahead of Animal Crossing: New Horizons (43.38m), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (32.44m), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (31.15m) and Super Mario Odyssey (26.95m).
Nintendo of America launched a similar Mario Kart 8 Deluxe hardware bundle last month, but it comes with the standard Switch console rather than the OLED model.
Nintendo’s digital Black Friday sale is also ongoing in Europe, with the eShop seeing numerous game discounts spread across two dates.
The first discounts started on November 16, and included deals on such titles as EA Sports FC 24, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Sonic Superstars.
The second discounts will start on November 20 at 2pm GMT and wil linclude deals on such titles as Metroid Prime Remastered, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 3 and Super Mario Odyssey. All deals will end on December 2.
