Foamstars is a 4v4 online shooter by Square Enix, exclusive to PlayStation consoles at launch.
Similar to Nintendo‘s Splatoon, Foamstars has two teams covering an arena with a substance – foam here, paint in Splatoon – using it to both benefit their team and hinder their opponents.
Unlike the Switch game, Foamstars has a suite of hero characters with their own unique skills and abilities, and the foam isn’t a simple recolouring of the environment, but a 3D object players can use to build paths and reshape the battlefield.
