GOG has updated its Winter Sale with another free game
Lost Ruins is the second of five titles being given away
GOG’s Winter Sale has been updated with another free game.
Lost Ruins is now free to download until December 21 at 2pm UTC.
To claim the game, players are required to opt in to receive GOG marketing emails.
“Lost Ruins is a 2D side-scrolling survival action game, where you play as a young girl that has awoken in a strange and foreign place without her memories,” according to its store listing. “Explore a dark and dangerous world, battle hideous monsters, and topple incredible bosses.”
Developed by Altari Games and published by Dangen Entertainment, the title was released in 2021 and has a score of 59 on review aggregation site Metacritic.
By way of comparison, Lost Ruins currently costs $19.99 / £15.49 on Steam. It usually costs $19.99 / £15.99 on Epic Games Store but is currently discounted to $9.99 / £7.99.
Lost Ruins is the second of five titles GOG will be giving away during its Winter Sale, which includes over 6,000 offers and discounts of up to 90%, according to CD Projekt. It previously gave away Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager.
The Epic Games Store also launched its Holiday Sale last week. Deals include Alan Wake 2 for $27 / £21.50, EA Sports FC 24 for $19 / £16, Hogwarts Legacy for $24 / £20, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage for $23 / £21.
The Epic Games Store will reportedly give away 17 free games over the Christmas period.
